Wow, what a fun Friday we had at YES last week. I've been trying to get these videos up for a couple days now, but we're smack in the middle of cold season in the Abbott household.
First, we joined Mrs. Ney's class during Morning Meeting to practice juggling together! Mr. Arno and Mr. Curry helped out, too. Juggling is teaching us valuable lessons about grit and perseverance, and also helps our brains work across both hemispheres. Look at us go!
Second, we've started our Geography unit. We'll be examining countries all over the world, and looking at holidays and celebrations in different cultures. Friday afternoon we took a look at Japan, and the holiday of Kodomo-no-hi. We made a giant carp to celebrate strength!
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for our publishing party!
