Junior Achievement Graduation

Dearest families,

It is with a heavy heart that I have to share with you the end of this year's Junior Achievement program. Mrs. Reich has joined us every Friday (and even a Monday) since Nivember to share with us the JA Third Grade curriculum: Our City. We've written checks, learned about banks and debt, started restaurants, and in this, our final session, learned about different types of media and how we get our information. Both Mrs. Reich and I participated in JA when we were a tad bit younger, and the program had changed a little since then. Maybe one day, as Mrs. Reich pondered, one of these Junior Achievers will come back to share a new curriculum with a new generation?

Here we are in groups discussin where we get different kinds of information:

Here ate more groups evaluating pros and cons of different forms of media:

After working as a group we shared out some of our conclusions:

And finally, what you've all been waiting for: graduation! Mrs. Reich presented each participant with a diploma for all his or her hard work over the last month. We are quite proud and will be saving them in our portfolios.

Finally, a great group photo of the entire class with Mrs. Reich! Success!

Followed up by a well-deserved "THANK YOU!"

It's already been said, but it bears repeating: Thank You Mrs. Reich!
