Hello From France!

Eloise and her family are busy in France, but not so busy they can't share some of their experiences with us!  Straight from Arles, here is an update from Eloise.   -Mr. Abbott

Hello from France!
The Pont Du Gard is a famous bridge that carried water to a town called Nimes. We found a huge jar of Nutella. We found it from a shop near the Pont Du Gard.
On the third day we were in France we went to the Amphitheater and the Arena which are over 2,000 years old and built by the Romans.
We also saw a really old boat built by the Romans.
Our house in a town called Arles is 1,000 years old with four floors.... And built by the Romans.
When we went to the Vincent van Gogh art museum we were amazed! It is so pretty.
There was also a really big castle. It's so big and beautiful!

Boy do I miss my cat but not my brothers!

Wax Museum Success!

Thank you so much to all the amazing grandparents and grandfriends who made today such a rousing success! Our Wax Statues did a great job and I hope everyone can feel quite satisfied with themselves.

Parents, you need not be jealous of YOUR parents. You will get to see our wax museum on its second, and final, viewing later this year for our End of Year Learning Celebration! I will get the date to you as soon as possible.

Enjoy a wonderful holiday weekend,

Publishing Party Success!

DISCLAIMER: So recently a parent from our class, very kindly, told me that her student was very impressed that I had a new baby, but didn't seem tired all the time and was still very nice.  Looks can be deceiving.  This post was originally posted on Friday afternoon, and I was so proud of myself for getting it up right away so that everybody could see how much fun we had on the same day.  Then this weekend, my wife asked me why I was posting something about a Publishing Party on Hazel's blog.

So apparently I'm not functioning quite as well as it would appear from the outside!  I hope this makes you laugh, much like it did for us, and without further ado, the post you have been looking for!

Hello Friends and Families!

Thank you all so much for joining us today for our Publishing Party! I hope you learned as much reading about all of our informational subjects as we did writing them. I learned so much! We will save the comments you left for us in our portfolios.

Now we continue work on our biography unit, and look forward to seeing you next for our Biography Wax Museum!
